Having qualified as a Physiotherapist many years ago, I worked at Barts and later Great Ormond Street Hospital giving me wide experience in Orthopaedics, rehabilitation following neurosurgery, post natal exercise and management of acute respiratory conditions.

I then changed direction and worked in the independent sector starting my practice in Ealing over 50 years ago. The practice has grown over time and moved into our present location 23 years ago. There are 5 therapists and a team of 3 who run our office.

My involvement is now as practice principal and I oversee the running of the clinic.

TIM KNIGHT, MCSP, HCPC

Tim graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 1992.  He worked for five years in NHS physiotherapy before moving into private practice.

He has also worked with several sports teams including London Welsh Rugby football Club.

He has undertaken post-graduate training in Pilates and acupuncture and is a member of the Association of Charted Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine, Hydrotherapy and Acupuncture.

Tim’s special interests include the treatment of back and neck pain and sporting injuries with a particular interest in shoulder rehabilitation.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with the family, keeping fit and coaching junior cricket at Richmond Cricket Club.

REENA PATEL, MCSP, HCPC

REENA PATEL, MCSP, HCPC

Reena graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from University of Hertfordshire in June 2006. She has seven years’ experience in the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions. During her career she has covered areas in hand therapy, hydrotherapy, spinal, rheumatology, paediatrics, women’s health-including antenatal and postnatal Pilates, trauma and orthopaedics.

Reena has a special interest in the treatment of shoulder conditions, tendinopathies, and back pain and is experienced in rehabilitation back to sport. She has attended various courses including Pilates matwork, antenatal and postnatal Pilates, Pilates on the ball and acupuncture.

She believes in treating patients holistically and working collaboratively with them in order to achieve their functional/sports specific goals.

In her spare time she loves to travel and…dance –no particular type –just dancing! She also likes hiking and has completed both the national and the Welsh three peaks.

TOM WIDMER, MCSP, HCPC

TOM WIDMER, MCSP, HCPC

Tom graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in early 2017 with a master’s degree in physiotherapy and a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science. He initially worked in a private practice in Sydney’s West before relocating to the UK.

Tom spent time working with state rugby and Australian rules football clubs in Sydney where he gained experience dealing with a range of sporting injuries.

Tom has undertaken post graduate training in sports taping, and enjoys treating neck, shoulder and knee pain. He has a special interest in weight training and other gym-related injuries.

Kate graduated with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy ​from the University of Limerick, Ireland in June 2015. She has worked in both Ireland's National Health Service as well as completing her junior inpatient rotations under Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. She has experience of assessment, treatment and management of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, and has spent time working with sports teams in the past.

She has a keen interest in weight lifting and endurance sports. She is currently an active rower on the Thames Tideway.

Sara qualified from Guy’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1975.  Since graduating Sara has gained a broad experience in all areas of physiotherapy.  

After many years combining working in the clinic and providing domiciliary care, Sara is now concentrating solely on providing Home Visits within the west London area.

Sian is our specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist.   She graduated from Cardiff School of Physiotherapy in 1991 and has gained extensive experience working in several NHS London hospitals, community trusts and the private sector. 

Sian has completed post-graduate training with POGP in various aspects of women’s health physiotherapy and specialises in the treatment and management of stress urinary incontinence, urinary urgency, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain. 

Along with her private sector work Sian continues to work as a women’s health physiotherapist in the NHS, maintaining clinical best practice through her working relationships with gynaecologists, continence nurse specialists and other women’s health physiotherapists.

SUSAN QUIRKE

SUSAN QUIRKE

Susan is Irish from Limerick and has lived in London for over eighteen years. She trained as a Pilates teacher in 2014 with Body Control Pilates, a renowned centre of excellence for Pilates.

Susan has been practising Pilates herself for over fifteen years, both reformer and mat work, for a low back issue. She was referred by a physiotherapist for a chronic back injury many years ago and found Pilates was the one form of exercise she was able to do without fear of movement and injury. She also qualified as a back4good instructor in 2015 for the prevention and management of low back pain.

Susan is passionate about Pilates for rehabilitation thanks to her own personal experiences. Her key interest is in this area, and she works with clients to get the most mobility and movement from their body. She has worked with a wide range of clients, from one-to-one sessions to group environments, both with corporate clients and local classes.

Susan also has a degree in psychology and English. She is a passionate boxer and a qualified reiki practitioner.

Emily is a movement lover from New Zealand with a background in dance, circus, and performing. She has been teaching Pilates since 2016, trained in Matwork and  STOTT Reformer Pilates, and has a Bachelor of Dance Studies. By listening and responding to the needs of her clients as she aims to make everyone feel welcome and accommodated during her class. Emily is passionate about helping others enjoy movement and using Pilates to give you the tools to unlock your body’s full potential so you can move in a safer, happier and healthier way.
